Mario says, "So it was over an 8 month period, I lost a total of 67 lbs, 7" off my waist, went from an XXL shirt to a S/M size. I do BodyPump twice a week, 30-45 min of cardio 3-4 times a week and BodyCombat 1-2 times a week. I also worked with Ashley (1 of our trainers) for a few sessions when I first joined the gym to help me get acquainted with all the equipment in the main facility. As far as my diet goes I don't "diet" I actually eat more now ( I used to skip breakfast eat a huge lunch, and then eat a huge dinner and snack until bed time). Now I eat breakfast, have the elite gourmet shakes as snacks, have a lite lunch and almonds and hard boiled eggs and fruit throughout the day, a decent dinner and then I'm not hungry at bed time anymore. ( I also still treat myself to dessert 1-2 times a week). I'm healthier now at 35 than I was at 25. I had a physical two weeks ago and my doctor was amazed at the change, and she even said I saved my own life with my lifestyle change."

Tara says, "I have lost over 30 pounds, 21 inches, and 8% body fat. I now live life rather than watch it on TV. Team Training with Jamie has given me the tools that I need to change my life for the better. Jamie helps me set realistic goals, design workout plans, and keep an eye on my nutrition. The high accountability and personal attention have been key in keeping me on track. I do Team Training twice a week and hit several group fitness classes throughout the week. My current favorite group class is BodyCombat, but I'm also enjoying learning some fun new dance moves in the dance classes, and Spinning is a phenomenal workout. One unexpected perk was that my husband decided to start exercising and eating better this year, too, and lost 50 pounds (and counting)! Some of the highlights of this past year include run/walking my first 5k, several hiking dates up the M with my husband, spending Thanksgiving morning at the Turkey Day 8K, and a 6.5 mile cross-country ski trip. This year I'm looking forward to improving my 5k time, and running my first half marathon."
John says, "I was a “victim” of a sedentary lifestyle and received my wake-up call two years ago when I was diagnosed with high cholesterol and was obese based on my BMI. I joined Lifestyle Fitness on a leap of faith, having never been in a gym since high school. The group fitness format was perfect since I could hide in the back and learn as I went. I met with Jamie (a LifeStyle Fitness Personal Trainer) and kept a food journal for two weeks, which was a LOT of work but made me wary of how I was fueling my body. I soon built lunch time group fitness classes and better (not perfect, but better) eating habits into my daily routine and was able to stick to my new schedule as I waited for the results to come. Just using my lunch hour 3-4 times a week had a significant impact on my health. Since joining Lifestyle Fitness, I have been motivated to change my lifestyle, not just for the 20 pounds I have lost, but as a permanent change. I have since completed 3 half marathons (having never ran more than two miles at a time) and a 130-mile bike ride through the Pioneer Mountains. I still try to get to a group fitness class at least three times a week, and I have found it amazing how I yearn for that good sweat if I miss a class or two. I have tried all formats of the group fitness and currently enjoy Body Combat the most, although I still enjoy the occasional Spinning and Body Pump class as well. I still have goals ahead of me I have yet to accomplish, but with a change in lifestyle (thanks to Jamie and the rest of the Lifestyle Fitness team) I know I will achieve them.

We also operate the largest Drop-in Day Care in Missoula for kids up to 12 years old. Themed around a fitness center, we have kid-sized tread mills and bikes, and offer healthy snacks and meals. Member's appreciate a safe place to drop off their kids while working out. Non-members are also welcome to use our Missoula day care facility when they need a helping hand. This fall, we're offering 3 kids classes each week. Zumba Kids is a fun dance party for the kids and Fit Kids combines creative movement with obstacle courses.
